  Effie R. Leed, 89, of 15 Norma Lane, Richland, Pa., died Saturday, February 14, 
  2009, at the residence of her son, with whom she resided. She was the wife of 
  the late James P. Leed, who died in 1995. Born in Jackson Township, Lebanon 
  County, Pa., on November 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John and 
  Annie (Hollinger) Smith. She was a member of Millcreek Lutheran Church, 
  Newmanstown, Pa., and enjoyed NASCAR racing. She is survived by daughters 
  Marion, wife of Herbert Moore of Myerstown, Loretta Keath of Myerstown, Ruth 
  Ann Leed of Myerstown, Kathy, wife of Thomas Berger of Myerstown, Dorothy, wife 
  of Larry Kemble of Myerstown, Susan, wife of Nick Hain of Myerstown, Anna, wife 
  of Glenn Smith of Myerstown; sons Karl Leed of Myerstown, Harold Leed, 
  companion of Shelby Eppinette of Myerstown, Terry, husband of Sylvia Leed of 
  Richland, Kenneth, husband of Won Leed of Laton, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren; 26 
  greatgrandchildren; two greatgreat-grandchildren; sister Annetta Smith of 
  Myerstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several 
  sisters and brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19, 
  2009, at 1 p.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. 
  Viewing Thursday at 12 p.m. Interment at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, 
  Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate 
  Care Hospice, 100 E. Brown Street, Suite 23, Middletown, PA 17057.
