Rachel S. LeGay, 85, of 30 S. Weaber Street, Annville, died Monday, March 2, 2009, in her residence. She was the wife of the late Clarence W. LeGay, who died in 1996. Born in Lebanon on June 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Della Weirich Weise. She worked in the knock out department for Hershey Co. for 28 years. Rachel was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Annville, where she was a member of the Stein Bee Sunday School Class, and a member of the Annville Senior Citizens. She served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Annville Senior Center, and enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, and reading. Surviving are a son, Neil R., husband of Donna LeGay of Lebanon; a daughter, Cathy, wife of Anthony Ciccone of Littleton, Colo.; three sisters, Blanche Shirk of Sun City West, Ariz., Annabelle Gingrich of Surprise, Ariz., and Janice Horn of Surprise, Ariz.; grandchildren Matthew and Theodore Ciccone, Yvonne, wife of Keith Fake, and Eric, husband of Sylvia Sheaffer; and greatgrandchildren Heather and Lindsay Fake, and Luke, Paul, and Adam Sheaffer. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Neil Brian Kohr; brothers Lawrence, Luke, Elvin, and Carl Weise; and a stepbrother, Edward Weise. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from Christ Church, 200 S. White Oak St., Annville. Interment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, and also from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
