  Sara Evans Lesher Sara Evans Lesher, 91, died Saturday, July 18, 2009, in Vero 
  Beach, Florida. She was the daughter of Harry Carpenter Evans and Agnes 
  (Bleichert). Evans was born in Lebanon, PA, on April 10, 1918. She graduated 
  from Lebanon High School in 1935 and attended Ursinus College for two years. 
  She married Donald W. Lesher on July 10, 1937. They were the proud parents of 
  three children: Sara Kafer and Susan Hershey of Stuart, FL, and Donald W. 
  Lesher Jr. of Lebanon, PA, and Marco Island, FL; seven grandchildren and 
  seventeen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lesher was a member of Eastern Star, was 
  active for several years with the YMCA Board of Directors as well as the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary in Lebanon, PA, and a member of the PEO 
  Sisterhood. She was a member of the Moravian Church in Lebanon and of several 
  Presbyterian churches during her years in Florida. She was an avid golfer, and 
  she and her husband were residents of Indian River Estates in Vero Beach since 
  1999. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Donald W. Lesher, 
  and six brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held at the Carter 
  Memorial Chapel, Indian River Estates, Vero Beach, FL, August 6 at 11 a.m. In 
  lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moravian Church of Lebanon, 115 
  Birch Road, Lebanon, PA
