  Dorothy G. Lyons, 89, of West Hanover Twp., passed away Friday, May 15, 2009, 
  at Blue Ridge Mt. Golden Living Center. Born in Schaefferstown, she was a 
  daughter of the late Luther and Mary Bennetch. She was the widow of Thomas D. 
  Lyons and was also preceded in death by a son, George M. Lyons. Dorothy was a 
  member of Linglestown Life United Methodist Church, the Linglestown Fire Co. 
  Ladies Auxiliary and the Card Club. She is survived by a daughter, Doris L. 
  Thomas, of Danville, Va.; two sons, Thomas D. Jr. of Savannah, Ga., and Donald 
  E. of Pottsville; a daughter-in-law, Judy E. Lyons of West Hanover Twp.; 8 
  grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral 
  services will be held Wednesday, May 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Hoover Funeral Homes 
  & Crematory Inc., 6011 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg. Rev. George S. Reynolds, 
  her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. There 
  will be a viewing Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. 
  Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 3211 N. 
  Front St., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
