Maier, 68, of 620 Park Ave., passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Cedar Haven Nursing Home. She was the wife of James R. Maier. She was born in Lebanon, on July 14, 1941. She was a daughter of Daniel Duffy of Allentown and the late Carolyn Darkes Duffy. Ann was a 35 year employee of Keener Electric Motor Service as an Office Manager. Ann had been a member of the former St. Gregory the Great Church, where she served for five years as the social hall kitchen manager. She was also a Cantor, Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the church choir and finance committee. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Lebanon, and a member of the Lebanon Choral Society. The society was joined by the Harrisburg Symphonic Orchestra and Lebanon Valley College Choral Group in performing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Mary Tulles Hall in Lincoln Center, New York City. She also enjoyed cooking and playing the piano, having trained as a classical pianist as a young girl for 14 years. She had attended Hershey High School. In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by three children, Bonnie, wife of Paul Dechert of Quentin, Cindy Seibert of Minersville, and Scott A. Maier of Santa Barbara, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Diane, Derek, Tiffany, Kevin. Jessica, Jonathan, and Jacob; seven greatgrandchildren; a sister, Ellen Theberge of Exton; and nieces and nephews Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, November 23, from St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon. No viewing or visitation. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17042; or Cedar Haven, 590 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., Lebanon, is in charge of the arrangements.
