  Elizabeth J. Markey Elizabeth Jane ''Betty'' Markey died at home under the care 
  of Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Harvey J. Smith and Viola Eldridge 
  Eckert, and was raised by an aunt and uncle, Samuel and Irene Eldridge Gass of 
  Lebanon. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Richard, Jr.; 
  daughter-inlaw, Marianne Markey; grandson, Bruce Markey; granddaughter, Kate 
  Markey; and great-grandson, Owen Durr. She was preceded in death by a son, 
  Bruce R. Markey; and sister, Josephine Graci. She was retired from the Lebanon 
  VA Medical Center, where she worked for 32 years. A memorial service will be 
  held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 Oak St., Lebanon, PA 17042 on Tuesday, 
  August 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery immediately 
  following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 
  her church. The Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon, is handling the arrangements.
