  John M. Marko Sr. John M. Marko Sr., 98, of Cedar Haven Nursing Home, died 
  peacefully Saturday, March 14, 2009, in Cedar Haven, surrounded by his loving 
  family. He was the husband of the late Erma G. Fahler Marko. Born in Lebanon on 
  December 28, 1910, he was the son of the late Timothy and Cecilia Fiola Marko. 
  He was a retired mechanic, having worked for over 45 years at Gingrich Motor 
  Co. He was a member of Mt. Zion Fire Co. and St. Benedict the Abbot Church. He 
  enjoyed dogs, animals, boxing, working on cars and tinkering with motors. 
  Surviving are four children, Evelyn, wife of Charles Betz of Lebanon, Anna Mae, 
  wife of Calvin M. Conners of Lebanon, John M. Jr., husband of Dara Marko of 
  Lebanon, and Patricia Marko of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; 14 
  greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Stephen and 
  Michael Marko of Lebanon; and one sister, Mary Massar of Lebanon. He has many 
  nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Rudolph, Frank, 
  Joseph and Anthony; and one sister, Stella Myers. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 
  11 from St. Benedict the Abbot Church, 1300 Lehman St., Lebanon 17046. 
  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Thursday morning, 9:30-10:30, at 
  Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon 17042. In lieu of 
  flowers, donations may be made to St. Benedict's Church or the Humane Society 
  of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown 17067.
