  Miriam D. Landis Martel LEBANON Miriam D. Landis Martel, 93, died Friday, 
  October 16, 2009, at Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon. She was born September 17, 
  1916, to the late Alexander C. and M. Blanch Sansom Landis in Gary, Ind. She 
  was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ. She was a secretary for 
  Brightbill Body Works. She was active in the choir, served on Church council 
  and the Women's Guild. She also was a frequent soloist at church and was 
  involved in the sewing club. Surviving are grandchildren, Charles A. Holzer of 
  Lebanon, Duane E. Holzer of Stafford, Va., and David E. Elliott; great-
  grandchild, Stephen A. Holzer of Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews. 
  She was preceded in death by husband Leo Charles Martel on December 13, 1988; 
  and daughters, Judith A. Martel and Phyllis M. Ensminger. Viewing is scheduled 
  for Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at St. Stephens United Church of Christ, 1100 
  Hunters Chase Lane, Lebanon. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at St. 
  Stephens United Church of Christ, 1100 Hunters Chase Lane, Lebanon. Burial will 
  be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to St. Stephens United Church 
  of Christ, 1100 Hunters Chase Lane, Lebanon, PA 17046 c/o Memorial Fund. 
  Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the family with the 
  arrangements.
