Martin, 79, died after a brief illness at his home on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. He was the husband of Edna Musser Martin. They celebrated their 57th anniversary September 20, 2009. He was born in Earl Township, Lancaster County, on October 24, 1930, son of the late Ezra and Anna Zimmerman Martin. He was the former owner of Martin's Farm Market and last employed by Brubaker's Auto Sales. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Myerstown. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Loretta, wife of Glen Horst of Narvon, Lena Mae, wife of Edwin Burkholder of East Earl, Glenn, husband of Luella Huber Martin of Lebanon, Mary Ann, wife of Nevin Rutt of Bernville, Willis, husband of Edna Zeiset Martin of Ephrata, Linda, wife of Carl Martin of Denver, James, husband of Sandra Rutt Martin of Ephrata, Larry, husband of Darla Sensenig Martin of Denver, Jeremiah, husband of Jennifer Stevens Martin of Manheim, and John, husband of Amy Martin Martin of Denver; 48 grandchildren; 50 greatgrandchildren; brothers, Ezra Martin of Myerstown, Hershey, husband of Anna Martin of Lebanon, and Willis, husband of Alta Martin of Lebanon; and sisters, Ruth Brubaker of Myerstown, Anna Mary, wife of Lloyd Burkholder of Lebanon, Eva, wife of Howard Brubaker of Myerstown, Edna, wife of Barton Sensenig of Myerstown, and Alta, wife of Alvin Musser of Memphis, Mo. He was preceded in death by brother, Lester Martin, and sister, Nora Horst. Funeral service will held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Deep Run Road, Myerstown. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, Jackson Road, Lebanon. Please omit flowers.
