  John W. Matthew, 90, of Wernersville and formerly of Womelsdorf died April 26th 
  in Berks Heim, Bern Twp. He is the husband of Mildred M. (Putt) Matthew. Born 
  in Wintersville, son of the late Williard and Eva (Feeg) Matthew. He was a 
  graduate of Robesonia High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in 
  the 9th Armored Division, 73rd Field Artillery, in Europe. He retired from 
  Rockwell, Int., Wyomissing. He was a member of the Womelsdorf VFW. In addition 
  to his wife he is survived by a Daughter, Peggy wife of Bill Kopp, Wyommissing. 
  He was predeceased by Brother Harland Beidler and Sister Helen Matthew. 
  Services will be private. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville is 
  handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to 
  Zion U.C.C., 2nd & High Streets, Womelsdorf, PA 19567
