  McClenaghen, Herbert E.     
   
   
  Herbert E. McClenaghen PALMYRA Herbert E. McClenaghen, 91, formerly of 
  Havertown, died Friday, August 14, 2009, at Lebanon Manor Care. He was the 
  husband of the late Ruth (Fegley) McClenaghen. Born in Philadelphia, on July 
  24, 1918, he was the son of the late Alexander C. and Mary (Moore) McClenaghen. 
  Mr. McClenaghen was a 1936 graduate of Upper Darby High School He served in the 
  U.S. Army during WWII with the 36th Division Texas Infantry. He was employed as 
  an optical salesman, retiring in 1992. Mr. McClenaghen was a member of Trinity 
  Lutheran Church, Havertown. He was also a member of Manoa VFW, Lebanon VA, and 
  Campbelltown VFW. Surviving are a daughter, Lois Schwartz; and three 
  granddaughters, Janene Shearburn, Carissa, wife of Gerry Cassel, and Colleen 
  Shearburn. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Shearburn; and a 
  grandson, Scott A. Schwartz. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday 
  at Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall. The funeral 
  service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in 
  Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon 
  VA VISOR Program, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042, Attn. Amy Brown.
