  Violet Mae Mefferd Violet Mae Mefferd, age 88, of Shade Gap, PA, passed away 
  Sunday, March 29, 2009, in Mechanicsburg. She was a member of Shiremanstown 
  United Methodist Church for over sixty years. She was the widow of Theodore 
  Hower Mefferd. Surviving are four children, the Rev. Theodore C. Mefferd and 
  wife Esther of Mt. Gretna, Bonnie D. Schaefer and husband David of Ohiopyle, 
  PA, Trudie M. Seagrist and husband Larry of Mechanicsburg, Stephen C. Mefferd 
  and wife Beverly of Falls Church, VA; ten grandchildren and ten 
  greatgrandchildren. Services 11:00 AM Wednesday in her church, where a viewing 
  will be from 9:30 AM. Memorials may be made to Shiremanstown U.M. Church, 125 
  E. Main Street, Shiremanstown, PA 17011.
