   Melendez, Juan Peppe   
    
   Juan Peppe Melendez, 55, of Altoona, Pa., died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at his 
   residence. He was the husband of Sandra Lovino Melendez. Born February 18, 
   1954, in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., he was the son of the late Juan Jose and Ila Mae 
   Stafford Melendez. He had worked at Color Resolutions International in the 
   printing industry as an ink adjuster. He was passionate about scholastic 
   wrestling, coaching for many years. He wrestled in the Master's Tournaments 
   well into his 40s. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the 
   Vietnam War era. He was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 
   Altoona, Pa., and was previously a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 
   Cornwall, Pa. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Daniel A. 
   Melendez of Altoona, and Sean P., husband of Klara Melendez of Raritan, N.J.; 
   brother David, husband of Patty Stafford of Piscataway, N.J.; and sister 
   Cheryl, wife of Doug Sebring of Riverton, Wyo. Funeral Mass Saturday at 11 a.m. 
   from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cornwall Road, Cornwall, Pa. Visitation 
   Saturday morning from 10-11 at the Sacred Heart Church Parish Center. Interment 
   at Holy Savior Cemetery, Cornwall, Pa. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon, is 
   in charge of the arrangements.
