Miller, 89, a 60 year resident of Lebanon and more recently resided at Elm Croft for the past three months, died Saturday, October 24, 2009, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of James D. Miller, Sr. who died in 1999. Born in Palmyra on February 17, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Harvey, Jr. and Maggie Wolfersberger Hartman. She was a 1937 graduate of Annville High School. Rhoda was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Lebanon, for over 60 years, a lifetime member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge, and the Central PA Chapter of the PA Sports Hall of Fame. She was a crossword puzzle enthusiast, enjoyed collecting for the March of Dimes, known for her doll making, and was an avid collector. Surviving is a daughter, Patricia A. Seaman of Annville; two sons, James D. Miller, Jr. and wife, Suzanne of Lebanon, and Andrew K. Miller and wife, Erika of Millersville; a brother, Harvey D "Whitey" Hartman, Jr. and wife, Marian of Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Steve Blackman (Sabrina), Dan Blackman, Mike Blackman (Colleen), Jacqueline Heberling (Matthew), Amy Lambert (Tim), Christina Miller, and Alex Miller; and seven great-grandchildren, Erin Blackman, Kyle Blackman, Dalton Blackman, Alyssa Blackman, Nadia Louise Blackman, Lucas Miller, and Reed Heberling. She was preceded in death by a sister , Mildred Riegert. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be held in Mt. Annville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
