"Gram" Edith E. "Gram" Mills, 85, of 520 S. Seventh St., Lebanon, died on February 7, 2009, in her residence. She was the wife of the late Roy A. Mills Jr. She was born in Lebanon on August 31, 1923, daughter of the late David and Pauline Border Redinger. She was a 1941 graduate of Lebanon High School. During World War II, she worked at Middletown Air force Base assembling airplanes. In the 1970s, she was employed by the former Why Not DriveIn in Colebrook. Edith was an avid sports fan, attending many L.H.S. basketball games. She loved all animals, particularly her dogs, Booby, Snoopy and Muffy. Edith is survived by her daughter, Polly, wife of William Leeper of Lebanon; granddaughter Melissa Leeper of Lebanon, and her partner, Kathryn Plank; niece Ann Lippert of Elpaso, Texas; sisterin-law Phyllis Krause. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Whye; and brothers Arthur and David Redinger. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, Fifth and Cumberland streets, Lebanon, where a viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be held in Ebenezer "Greenwood " Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042.
