Lester R. Moll Sr., 76, of 101 S. Railroad St., Apt. 426, Palmyra, died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Sandra L. Irwin Moll. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in November. Born January 4, 1933, in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Oscar Sr. and Hilda Reinhardt Moll. He worked reconditioning steel drums and also sold Christmas trees. He enjoyed going to the beach. He was a U.S. Army veteran with the 82nd Airborne, having served during the Korean War era. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Leslie Moll, Lester R. Moll Jr. and fiancee Ashley Moody, and Scott Moll; two grandchildren, Brittany Gutekunst and David "Binky" Zechman Jr.; a brother, Oscar "Blackie" Moll Jr.; one stepsister, Shirley Moll; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Zehring, and a brother, Robert "Whitie" Moll. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Thompson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
