Nelson LEBANON Veronica Mary Nash Nelson, 67, of 119 Pine St., passed away Friday, October 9, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of Thomas E. Nelson, who passed away in 1982. Veronica was born in Lebanon, on January 13, 1942. She was a daughter of the Late Harry R. and Mary Frances Aurentz Nash. She graduated from the Lebanon Catholic High School and worked as a home health care giver. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Cornwall. She was an active church volunteer, a member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed playing cards with her card club. She is survived by three sons, Thomas E. Nelson, II, Mark J. Nelson, and Stephen P. Nelson, all of Lebanon; a daughter, Joann Marie Thome and Jeff Kreiser of Lebanon; three brothers, Harry J., husband of Mary Nash, John T., husband of Carol Nash, and Joseph M., husband of Marie Nash; five sisters, Theresa, wife of Joseph Taylor, Bernadette, wife of Adam Fernsler, Rita, wife of Tom Newell, Cecilia, wife of Ken Daullary, and Joany, wife of Larry Haberle; a brother-in-law, David, husband of Claudia Zulick; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Zulick and Kathleen Nash; and a brother, James Nash. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Social Hall of the Sacred Heart Church, 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall. Interment will be at the Holy Savior Cemetery, Cornwall. Viewing hours will be Monday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the PA Association for the Blind, 555 Gettysburg Pike, Suite A300, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; or the National Kidney Foundation of Central PA, Olde Liberty Square, 4813 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
