  Barbara A. Niemy QUAKERTOWN Barbara A. Niemy, 75, died Tuesday, December 1, 
  2009, at home. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Wolf 
  and Helen (Straub) Jackson. Barbara was a graduate of St. Luke's Bethlehem 
  School of Nursing and East Stroudsburg University, where she received her 
  bachelor's degree in nursing. She went on to study at Kutztown University where 
  she earned a master's degree in guidance and counseling. Barbara retired from 
  the Central Bucks School District after working as a school nurse for 29 years. 
  She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. She is 
  survived by two daughters, Yolanda Schroy, and Donna Chookagian and her 
  husband, Frank; a brother, Frederick Wolf; and six grandchildren, Jeffrey Taft, 
  Cristin Bortzman, Bradley and Christopher Schroy, and Frank and Katlyn 
  Chookagian. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carla Taft, in 2000. A Mass will 
  be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 7, at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 
  W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 
  7 to 8:30 p.m. in the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com), 821 W. 
  Broad St., Quakertown, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to St. Luke's School of Nursing, 915 Ostrum St., 
  Bethlehem, PA 18015.
