  Betty J. Peiffer, 79, of Newmanstown passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009, 
  at ManorCare, Lebanon. She was the wife of Russell A. Peiffer. Born in Monroe 
  Valley on October 22, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Jenny 
  Ditzler. She retired from the former Leader Nursing Home in Lebanon. In 
  addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Glen Peiffer; and sisters 
  Geraldine Schaeffer of Monroe Valley and Dorothy Hoover of Richland. She was 
  preceded in death by her daughter, Fay Peiffer. Graveside services will be held 
  on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. 
  Viewing will be from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & 
  Crematory, 5 Campmeeting Road, Jonestown.
