  Donald D. Peiffer, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday July 5, 2009 at the 
  Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Amelia A. Hummel 
  Peiffer. Born in Lebanon on March 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Raymond 
  and Mary Krall Peiffer. He retired from Felty's Trucking in Pine Grove where he 
  had worked as a truck driver. He was an Army Veteran of WW II, and he was an 
  avid Phillies fan, enjoyed NASCAR and played baseball and semi-pro football. He 
  is survived by his sons Randy S. Peiffer of Fredericksburg, William R. Peiffer 
  and his wife Karen of Jonestown and Donald D. Peiffer, Jr., of Lebanon; 
  daughters Donna M. wife of Michael Sholly, Brenda L. Peiffer and Cindy L. 
  Peiffer all of Lebanon.; sisters Marilyn Shearer of Annville, Doris Dohner of 
  Annville and Peggy Barb of Campbelltown; eleven grandchildren and five great 
  grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Clair R. Peiffer and a 
  sister Christine Defrank. Memorial services will be held on Thursday July 9, 
  2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral & Crematory, Rt. 72 & 
  Campmeeting Rd., Jonestown. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National 
  Cemetery.
