  William J. Pierce, Sr. ANNVILLE William J. Pierce, Sr., 78, of Countryside 
  Christian Community, formerly of Palmyra, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009, in 
  the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born March 18, 1931, in Rye Township, 
  Perry County, he was a son of the late Daniel H. and Mary E. (Spahr) Pierce, 
  and was also preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Pierce. A self-employed 
  plumber, he was a member of Conservative Baptist Brethren Church, Frystown. 
  Surviving are his wife, Grace A. (Lichtenberger) Pierce of Annville; sons, 
  William J., Jr., husband of Sharon Pierce of Palmyra, and Kenneth E., husband 
  of Mary Pierce of Grantville; siblings Daniel Pierce, Jr., Betty Saltzburg, 
  Evelyn Richwine, and Richard Pierce; grandchildren, Wendy, wife of Don Horning, 
  Brent, husband of Jonna Pierce, Jody, wife of Jim Fessler, Kent, husband of 
  Lauren Pierce, Jill, wife of Jon Starr, Todd Pierce, and Travis Pierce; and six 
  greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, 
  December 22, 2009, at Conservative Baptist Brethren Church, Frystown. Viewings 
  will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., 
  Palmyra, and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be 2 p.m. 
  Tuesday at Bible Brethren Cemetery, Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, contributions 
  may be made to Countryside Christian Community, 200 Bellann Court, Annville, PA 
  17003.
