  Daniel Pohronezny MYERSTOWN Daniel Pohronezny, 87, died Monday, October 5, 
  2009, in Myerstown. He was the husband of Erma V. (Schaeffer) Pohronezny, who 
  died December 5, 2001. Born in St. Clair, Pa., on December 24, 1921, he was the 
  son of the late John and Anastasia (Klimkowska) Pohronezny. He served in the 
  U.S. Army during WWII where he received the Purple Heart. He was owner/operator 
  of Northside Service Station, Myerstown, from 1948-1973 and Greble Auto Sales 
  and Parts, Myerstown, from 1973-2009. Mr. Pohronezny was a member of Zion 
  United Methodist Church, Myerstown, and was a member of the Myerstown VFW. He 
  enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He is survived by sons, David, husband of 
  Peggy Pohronezny of Myerstown, and Ronald, husband of Sylvia Pohronezny of 
  Myerstown; five grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-
  grandson; sisters, Mary Yersavage of Summit Station, Ann Pohronezny of State 
  College, and Helen David of Schuylkill Haven; brothers, Nicholas Pohronezny of 
  Plainfield, Conn., and Michael Pohronezny of Auburn; and several nieces and 
  nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 am. from Grose Funeral 
  Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and 
  Friday at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Manbeck Church Cemetery, Schuylkill 
  Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 
  Alzheimer's Association., 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA
