Pullen, 86, died Thursday August 6, 2009, at his residence. He was the husband of Alice Laloup Pullen, with whom he would have celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary later this month. Born in Upland, on June 30, 1923, he was the son of the late Truman V., Sr. and Pearl Esther Connelly Pullen. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Truman was very proud to serve his country and always displayed his patriotism proudly by flying the flag. He was employed by Philadelphia Electric Company for 34 years as a Lineman and later as a foreman. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and loved to grow vegetables and plant flowers. He loved fishing and the outdoors. Truman loved music and also enjoyed living in Florida for 16 years and taking many trips to Disney World. He was a member of the bowling team for Philadelphia Electric Company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Richard K. Anderson of Wallingford; three stepdaughters, Alice R., wife of Thomas Liptak of Independence, Ohio, Patricia A.. wife of Robert Boyer of Brookhaven. and Debora A.. wife of Thomas Hinkle of Lebanon; 11 stepgrandchildren, Christopher P. Groton, Michael P. Groton, Noelle P. Dow, Carie A. Young, Richard S. Liptak, Drew J. Hinkle, Justin R. Hinkle, Victoria N. Anderson, Jennifer G. Anderson, Richard J. Anderson, and Allyson M. Anderson; and eight step greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Pullen; and a grandson, Ian T. Hinkle. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
