  Robert P. Purnell GRETNA SPRINGS Robert P. Purnell, 82, passed away at Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, on Monday, November 30, 2009. He and his wife 
  Betty J. Miller Purnell were married 59 years in May. Bob served with the U.S. 
  Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a radio technician in 
  Philadelphia for over thirty years and later served as director of the Tri-
  State Bible Conference Center in Port Jervis, N.Y. He and Betty retired to 
  Gretna Springs in 1987. He was a 22-year member of Faith Bible Church of Mount 
  Joy. A caring volunteer, Bob was always eager to help others. A brother George 
  Purnell predeceased him. A funeral service will be held at Faith Bible Church, 
  2075 Harrisburg Ave., Mount Joy on Friday at 11:30 a.m. A viewing will be held 
  from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Interment to take place in Indiantown Gap National 
  Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Bible Church. 
  Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Joy.
