(Detweiler) Reinford, 50, died September 10, 2009, in Tijuana, Mexico, following a brief illness. She was the precious wife of 30 years to Lester H. Reinford. Born in West Rockhill Twp., she was the daughter of Bessie O. (Plessinger) Detweiler of Lebanon and the late Lloyd K. Detweiler. She was a faithful member of Shalom Bible Fellowship in Myerstown. Kathy's first love was the Lord Jesus and she daily lived for Him and others. Her life was an example to many and she will be greatly missed, not the least by the orphans and her friends in Haiti. The last few years of her life were deeply intertwined in their care and they lovingly called her "Mom". The surviving orphans missing her are Rose, Bethany, Jared, Michael, Rachel, Cherlise, Kenneth, Jonathan Elaine and Janelle. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are seven children, Leslie K. Reinford and his wife, Debra (Waldner) of Myerstown; Rhonda Reinford of Lebanon; Regina Putt and her husband, Gerald of Myerstown; J. Lee Reinford of Lebanon and his fiancee, Fern Putt of Bainbridge, Lyndon Reinford, Daryl Reinford and Ervin Reinford, all at home; and twin granddaughters, Monica and Melody Putt. Also surviving are three sisters, JoAnne Swartzentruber and her husband, Linford of Hamburg, Linda G. Derstine and her husband, Timothy of Mapleton Depot and Karen F. Siegrist and her husband, Mark of Fredericksburg. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Ephrata Business Center, 400 W. Main St., Suite 1, Ephrata, PA 17522. The funeral service will be at the same location Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Harmony Christian Fellowship Cemetery, 30 Camp Swatara Road, Myerstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to New Horizon's Ministry (the Haiti children's home), c/o Shalom Bible Fellowship, P.O. Box 10, Bethel, PA 19507. Huff & Lakjer, Lansdale.
