  John A. Reisinger passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2009, at the 
  Veterans Administration Regional Medical Center in Lebanon, where he was being 
  cared for by the Hospice Unit staff. He was born in Bainbridge, Pennsylvania, 
  on November 23, 1933, the son of the late George E. Reisinger Sr. and Ella R. 
  (Smith) Reisinger. John was married to Barbara A. (Walker) Reisinger, who died 
  on July 3, 1983. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Walter, George, 
  Clarence, Leonard; and sisters Betty and Marie. After completing basic training 
  at El Torro, California, he was stationed during the Korean War at Atsugi, 
  Japan, with the Third Marine Air Wing, working as an aviation ordinance 
  maintenance specialist. John also belonged to the Lebanon Beagle Club for 
  approximately 40 years, where he was a breeder and trainer of beagle pups for 
  derbies and field trials, in accordance with AKC guidelines. Although John did 
  not have children of his own, he was a father figure for several children, over 
  the years. He has left them, his nephew and nieces, with wonderful memories of 
  being loved. John will be greatly missed by brothers Donald E. Reisinger of 
  Nebraska and Harry L. Reisinger of California, and sister Edna A. Manganaro of 
  Mount Joy, with whom he resided, prior to going to live at hospice. At John's 
  request, there will be a private ceremony at the family's discretion. Please 
  make memorial contributions to the Lebanon VA Regional Medical Center, 1700 S. 
  Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, Pennsylvania 17042. Arrangements are entrusted to Auer 
  Cremation Services of Pennsylvania Inc., Harrisburg.
