Ruhl LEBANON Charlotte Francis Ruhl, 96, formerly of Palmyra, died Saturday, August 1, 2009, in Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. She was the wife of Maurice Ruhl, who died in 1972. Born in Harrisonburg, Va., on September 8, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Geib Miller. She attended Thompson Business School and retired as a meat cutter from Speece's Food Market, Palmyra. Charlotte was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Palmyra and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and working in her flower gardens. Surviving are two daughters Georgette, wife of Chuck Torres of Palmyra, and Bonnie Marie, wife of David Koons of Lebanon; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson, who was born on July 28, 2009. Also surviving are two sisters Sheldon Cox of Ohio, and Jean Hostetter of Palmyra. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen Hordendorf; and a sister Goldie Allen. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the First Evangelical Congregation Church, Main and College St., Palmyra. Interment will be held in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Church. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is in charge of arrangements.
