  Schaeffer, John H. "Hack"   
   
  John "Hack" H. Schaeffer, 93, of Myerstown, Pa., died Wednesday, January 28, 
  2009, at the E. C. C. Retirement Village- Albright Campus, Myerstown. He was 
  the husband of the late Anna Schaeffer, who died in 1976, and the companion of 
  Jean B. Wengert for 30 years. Born in Birdsboro, Pa., on May 23, 1915, he was 
  the son of the late Eli and Genevieve (Winters) Schaeffer. He had been a truck 
  driver for many years, driving all over the country. He was a lifetime member 
  of the Goodwill Fire Co., Myerstown, and enjoyed the Phillies and making latch 
  hook rugs. In addition to his companion, he is survived by stepgranddaughters 
  Trudy Felty of Spring Grove, Pa., and Lori Swanger of Myerstown; stepgrandson 
  Lane Mays of Myerstown; and several step-greatgrandchildren; step-greatgreat-
  grandchildren. Services will be at the convenience of the family. The family 
  requests memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon 
  County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, 
  is in charge of arrangements.
