  Schaeffer, John J.     
  
  John J. Schaeffer, 75, Lebanon, died Monday May 18, 2009, in his residence 
  after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Judith A. Daubert 
  Schaeffer, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 28, 
  2009. He was born in Lebanon on December 12, 1933, son of the late John J. and 
  Dorothy Wolfe Schaeffer. He was retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp. and 
  later the J.B. Reese Co. He served in peacetime with the U.S. Army in Germany. 
  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lebanon, 
  and Lebanon High School Class of 1951. He was an avid football fan of Lebanon 
  High School, Penn State and the Eagles. Surviving in addition to his wife is a 
  sister: Janet, wife of Joseph DeLong, Annville, and numerous devoted nieces and 
  nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Forinash. Funeral services 
  Friday May 22, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 5th & Cumberland 
  St., Lebanon, where family and friends will be received Friday beginning at 
  10:00 AM. Interment Ebenezer "Greenwood" Cemetery. In lieu of flowers 
  contributions may be made to Hospice of the GSH, 4th & Walnut St., Lebanon 
  17042 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1274, Lebanon 17042.
