She was the wife of the late Edgar B. Schanbacher. Born in Lebanon on February 18, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Edith Grace Krum Irons. She retired in 1964 from Cornwall Railroad as Manager and Secretary to the Operations Vice President and General Manager. She was the only woman to have engineered the Cornwall Ore Train. She was a former member of the Quentin Riding Club. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Lebanon. She enjoyed the arts, loved theater, and played the violin as a young girl. She is survived by several cousins and close friends. Funeral services Thursday at 10 a.m. from Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Interment at Ebenezer Covenant Cemetery.
