  Curtis F. Schneck, 75, of Myerstown, Pa., died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the 
  E.C.C. Retirement Village-StoneRidge Village Health Care Center, Myerstown, Pa. 
  He was the husband of Gloria E. (Labe) Schneck to whom he would have been 
  married 55 years on July 10. Born in Pine Grove, Pa., on August 2, 1933, he was 
  the son of the late William and Maggie (Zerbe) Schneck. A 1951 graduate of 
  Womelsdorf High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. 
  He had been employed by Bethlehem Steel, Lebanon, for many years prior to 
  working at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown, where he worked for 10 years retiring in 
  1968. He had also been the tax collector in Myerstown Borough for 4 years 
  during the early 1970s. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, 
  Myerstown, and enjoyed golfing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 
  daughters Colleen, wife of Michael Calhoun, of Myerstown and Cindy, wife of 
  Vincent Snyder, of Myerstown; 4 grandchildren; 8 greatgrandchildren; 2 
  greatgreat-grandchildren; sister, Bertha, wife of Joe McCarthy, of Bernville, 
  Pa.; brother, Carl, husband of Joanne Schneck of Rehrersburg, Pa.; several 
  nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Mary Schock, Elsie Hardick, 
  Dorothy Berger and brothers Clarence and Charles Schneck. Funeral services will 
  be held Thursday, May 28, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. 
  Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. Viewing Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment at 
  Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
