Seiverling, 76, died September 1, 2009, of natural causes in Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Doris J. (Heisey) Seiverling, whom he married on May 10, 1952. He was born in Lancaster, son of Pearl M. (Hineline) Seiverling of Myerstown and the late Phares J. Seiverling. Eugene was a 1951 graduate of Bethel High School. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 5 and a half years. Eugene was a self employed truck driver and worked for various trucking companies, and he last worked and retired from Werner Enterprises where he once was awarded Company Driver of the Month. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church Bethel, where he did volunteer lawn maintenance in his retirement. He was a driver for Bethel Union Fire Company, a driver and Trustee of the Bethel Ambulance Association, a former Bethel Twp. Supervisor, and a driver for Volunteer Home Care, Topton. In addition to his wife, and mother he is survived by two sons, Dennis P. Seiverling, husband of Gloria E., Bethel, and John P. Seiverling, husband of Deborah L., Bethel; two daughters, Tammie S., wife of Paul Hoover, Jr., Mt. Aetna, and Amy J. Seiverling, Georgetown, Del.; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Karen, Lora, Cory, Jamie, Heather, Jason and Amanda; and two greatgrandchildren, Mikayla and Alexis. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary G. Seiverling; and a brother, Phares J. Seiverling, Jr. Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church, Bethel, with the Rev. William Fryer officiating. Interment at Salem Reformed Cemetery, Bethel. Friends are invited to call 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Community Ambulance Assn., P.O. Box 32, 8170 Lancaster Ave., Bethel, PA 19507.
