  Larry D. Sheetz LEBANON Larry D. Sheetz, 62, died Monday, August 3, 2009, in 
  the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Myerstown, on November 15, 1946, he was 
  the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Shifflett Sheetz. He was a payroll 
  supervisor for 32 years at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was a graduate of 
  Northern Lebanon High School. He enjoyed fantasy football and playing poker. He 
  was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the 8th & I 
  Marine Ceremonial Guard Co. from 1964-1966. He served for 13 months in Vietnam 
  on Hill 881 South where he was wounded and sent home. He received the Purple 
  Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with one bronze 
  star, Vietnamese Campaign Medal with Device, Presidential Unit Citation, and 
  the Good Conduct Medal. Surviving are two children, Steven husband of Kristin 
  Sheetz of Leesburg, Va. and Stephanie, wife of Edward Harmon of Jonestown; 
  three grandchildren, Campbell Marie Sheetz, Reilly Madison Harmon and Hunter 
  Dylan Harmon. Graveside services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Indiantown 
  Gap National Cemetery. Family and friends may gather Friday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. 
  at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. A memorial service 
  will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 
  1800 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in 
  Larry's name to the National Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps, 18900 Jefferson 
  Davis Highway, Triangle, VA 22172.
