"Hav" Shelley, 79, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009, at home. Hav was born August 30, 1930, at Millerstown, to the late Henry W. and Esther M. (Auker) Shelley.He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Heidi Jo Shelley; and four siblings, Betty Lentz, Arlene Seiber, James Shelley, and Rolland Shelley. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran and served four years on the U.S.S. William R. Rush, Newport, R.I. He was a retired masonry teacher at the Cumberland-Perry Vo-Tech School, Mechanicsburg, and worked at Hershey Estates for 22 years. He had also been a coach for the Lebanon Valley Teener Ball Team. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn C. (Wright) Shelley; four children, Cherita Shuey of Jonestown, Amy Dissinger of Manheim, HopeShelley Lewis of Acworth, Ga., and Todd Shelley of Landisburg; two sisters, Emelene Gabel of Thompsontown and Helen Pasi of Brockway; 12 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21, in the Faith United Church, 6968 Veteran's Way, Ickesburg (formerly St. Paul's Lutheran Church), with the Rev. Elaine Moyer officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private in the Millerstown Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown, with military honors by New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463. The family desires that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Faith United Church, P.O. Box 248, Ickesburg, PA 17037. Arrangements are being handled by the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville.
