M. shabodeho@aol.com October 27, 2009, 9:21 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 10/14/2009 Shreiner, Ron Ron Shreiner MANHEIM Ron Shreiner, 68, died on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Ron was the husband of Cheryl Shreiner and they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in March of this year. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Norman M. and Katie Eby Shreiner. He was owner and operator of several trucking companies in the Lancaster and Lebanon area; the former Shreiner Trucking, Commonwealth Carriers, Keystone Western, and Lancaster Express. He was also a terminal manager for B&P Express, Pittsburgh and Eastern Express, Indiana. A trucking icon, Ron drove truck for NASA. He was a valuable asset to the space flight hardware transportation program. He moved satellites and aircraft from factory to launch facility. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, James R., husband of Susan Shreiner of Allentown; three daughters, FuFu Shreiner at home, Michelle of Detroit, Mich., and Christina of Michigan; five grandchildren; and his best friend, Randy Gardner of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael JV. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Chiques Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. The Buch Funeral Home, Manheim, in charge of arrangements.
