  Bonnie L. Smith PALMYRA Bonnie Louise Smith, 54, a lifelong resident of 
  Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2009, at the M.S. 
  Hershey Medical Center. She was born Friday, December 24, 1954, in Hershey, to 
  the late Clarence Earl and Lillian Marguerite (Shaffer) Smith. She graduated 
  from Palmyra High School in 1972, and was a member of the color guard. She 
  worked for M.S. Hershey Medical Center for 35 years, most recently as 
  Administrative Secretary, Department of Anesthesia. She was a member of Palmyra 
  First E.C. Church. She is survived by a son, Matthew P. Merlino and wife, 
  Ashley A. of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Wendy S. Smith; two nieces, Jamie L. 
  Smith and Courtney J. Smith; and three grandnieces, Lexus N. Smith, Dajah L 
  Foust, and Brianna L. Foust, all of Lebanon. Funeral services will be held 
  Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 
  W. Pine St., Palmyra, with the Rev. Jan R. Fryer officiating. Friends and 
  family are invited for a time of viewing from 9 a.m. until time of the service. 
  Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
