  Donald G. Smith, 94, of 1407 Oak St., Lebanon, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, 
  in the Hyman S. Caplan Pavilion of natural causes. He was the husband of Elmira 
  J. Embich Smith and the late Sarah Simpson Smith, who died in 1985. Born in 
  Lebanon on May 14, 1914, he was the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Kolle 
  Smith. He was a retired certified public accountant, having worked for the 
  former Robert Miller & Co. in Lebanon. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal 
  Church and was a volunteer with RSVP, The Good Samaritan Hospital and 
  Philhaven. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving in addition to 
  his wife are a daughter, Sarah, wife of William Smith of Tennessee; two step-
  children, Jean, wife of Carroll Ditzler of Mt. Gretna, and Dorothy, wife of 
  Wilmer Blouch of Gretna Springs; eight grandchildren; and several 
  greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death in addition to his first wife by a 
  son, Joseph Smith; and a sister, Ruth Nattress. Graveside services will be held 
  Saturday at 10 from Ebenezer Covenant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be 
  made to St. Luke's Church, 22 S. Sixth St., Lebanon 17042; or Philhaven, 283 S. 
  Butler Road, Mt. Gretna, PA 17064. Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in charge of
