  Smith, Lester E.    
   
  Lester E. Smith, 72, of 728 N. Hanover Street, Lebanon, died Tuesday, June 30, 
  2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born April 24, 1937, to the late 
  Monroe William and Rubie C. Marks Smith in West Cornwall Twp. He was a member 
  of St. Mark's United Church of Christ. He retired from Quaker Alloy. He enjoyed 
  cars, especially NASCAR, flea markets and loved his grandsons. Surviving are 
  sons Jeffrey J., spouse of Suzanne Smith of Lebanon; Donald L., spouse of 
  Michelle Smith of Harrisburg; sisters Dorothy, spouse of Ken Hartman of 
  Lebanon; Barbara, spouse of Eric Moyer of Lebanon; brothers Bill Smith of 
  Myerstown; Robert, spouse of Nancy Smith of Richland; Carl Smith of Frystown; 
  John, spouse of Ann Smith of Lebanon; Jim, spouse of Linda Smith of Mt. Aetna; 
  Dan Smith of Lebanon; grandchildren Christopher Smith and Connor Smith; and a 
  number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by 
  wife Gail Ann Soliday Smith (7/10/1986) and brother Donald P. Smith. Services 
  will be held Monday, July 6, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at Christman's Funeral Home 
  Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, with viewing from 1-2:30 p.m. Burial will 
  be at Ebenezer Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to American Cancer 
  Society, 526 Cumberland Street, PO Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042-1274 or American 
  Lung Assn. of Central PA, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
