  Ruth E. Sites Smith NEWMANSTOWN Ruth E. Sites Smith, 85, died Sunday, October 
  25, 2009, at her residence. She was preceded in death by husbands William J. 
  Sites on June 8, 1966, and Floyd "Smitty" D. Smith on December 4, 1996. Born in 
  Womelsdorf, October 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and 
  Susanna R. (Swope) Keppley. She was a 1942 graduate of Newmanstown High School 
  and had been employed at Sterling Drug Co., Myerstown, for many years, retiring 
  in 1984. She was a member of Millcreek Lutheran Church, Newmanstown; member and 
  former officer of the Millcreek Twp. Alumni Assn. for many years and enjoyed 
  knitting, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She is 
  survived by daughters, Eileen Sites and Diane Sites, both of Newmanstown; 
  granddog Sealy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 
  sisters Esther Troutman and Elsie Berger and brothers William and Roy Keppley. 
  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Millcreek Lutheran 
  Church, Newmanstown, Pa. Viewing Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment 
  at Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, Newmanstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
  contributions may be made to the "Special Projects Fund" of Millcreek Lutheran 
  Church, P.O. Box 399, Newmanstown, Pa. 17073.
