  Richard R. Snavely, 79, of Myerstown died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, in the 
  Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary Ann Arnold Snavely. He 
  was born November 25, 1929, in Lebanon, a son of the late Harry and Mable 
  Coleman Snavely. He was a retired city of Lebanon police officer with over 20 
  years, and later was employed in the safety office at New Penn Inc. of Lebanon 
  for 20 years. Richard was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, 
  Lebanon; Navy Club, Ship 91 of Lebanon; Mt. Lebanon Lodge No. 226 F & AM; Tall 
  Cedars of Lebanon Lodge No. 25; Lebanon Lodge No. 42 F.O.P.; and Richland 
  American Legion, Post 880. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving in 
  addition to his wife are children Richard L., husband of Dianne Snavely of 
  Hegins, Robin K. Borges and Ruth A. Gingrich, both of Lebanon; stepchildren 
  Jeffrey W., husband of Leoni Shott of San Diego, Calif., Doreen M. Seiders of 
  Lebanon; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 
  sister Phyllis, wife of Earl Bollinger of Mechanicsburg. Funeral service will 
  be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Bethany United Methodist Church, 9 Mifflin 
  St., Lebanon, with a visitation on Monday beginning at 9 a.m. No viewing. 
  Interment will be made in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of 
  flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, c/o 
  Hospice Unit, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042. Rohland Funeral Home 
  Inc. is handling the arrangements.
