  Lester P. Spitler, 91, of Fawn Hollow Road, Newmanstown, died Saturday, May 9, 
  2009, in the ECC Retirement Village, Albright Campus, Myerstown. He was the 
  husband of the late Florence I. Batdorf Spitler. He was born April 13, 1918, in 
  Lebanon County, a son of the late Clayton and LaRue Moore Spitler. He was 
  employed as a molder for the former Lebanon Steel Foundry and later worked for 
  the Harrisburg Carpenter's Union. Lester was a member of Historic 
  Schaefferstown and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his wood working 
  shop. He is survived by children, Gladys wife of Robert Schoener, Myerstown; 
  Ruth Ann wife of Michael Fullerton, Camp Hill; Lester R. Spitler, SD; Thomas G. 
  Spitler and Kenneth T. Spitler both of Newmanstown; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-
  grandchildren; 9 great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Ida Ressler, Newmanstown. 
  Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Clauser Funeral Home, 
  N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, with a viewing beginning on Wednesday at 
  10:00 AM. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of 
  flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, S. Central PA 
  Chapter, 2001 N. Front St., Building 2, Suite 321, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
