  Gus U. Stites WOMELSDORF Gus U. Stites, 85, died Sunday, December 27, 2009, in 
  the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Bernice M. Weik Stites to 
  whom he was married 62 years. He was born April 6, 1924, in Deputy, Ind., a son 
  of the late Olin and Mary Burnside Stites. He was a self-employed contractor 
  and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II as a radio 
  operator. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, L. Edward, husband of 
  Diane Stites of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and David L., husband of Sherry Stites of 
  Newmanstown; grandchildren, Terry Stites, Tammy Stites, Michelle McNally, 
  Michael L. Stites, and Jennifer Zdaniewicz; nine great-grandchildren; and 
  sisters, Virginia Corya of Indiana and Thelma Forrester of Arizona. Funeral 
  service will be held at the convenience of the family. Clauser Funeral Home, 
  Inc. of Schaefferstown is handling the arrangements.
