Fifth Avenue, Lebanon formerly of Cleona died Wednesday June 10, 2009 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of John S. "Jack" Stranick to whom she was married to for 56 years. Born in Bridgeport, Montgomery County on October 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Edna Reese Olivette. She was employed as a secretary for Springford High School, Lebanon Valley College, and Annville- Cleona High School before being named the Attendance Officer for AnnvilleCleona. In 1978, Annville-Cleona High School dedicated the school yearbook to her. She was a graduate of Collegeville High School, a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Lebanon where she sang in the choir, was chairman of the Ladies Auxiliary, served on the church Vestry, and organized many special events for the church. She was one of the founders of St. Luke's Free Noon Lunch Program. She also won many awards for her pie baking at the Lebanon County Fair and was a contestant at the State Fair. Surviving is a son John T. husband of Karen Stranick of Chicago, Illinois, four daughters Susan wife of Robert Harding of Camp Hill, Laurie wife of Harold "Bud" Getz of Lebanon, Lisa Cook of Annville, and Rebecca Williams of Douglasville. She was preceded in death by a daughter Marcia E. Rohland. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 1:00 PM from St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions checks may be made payable to St. Luke's Free Noon Lunch Program, C/O St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 22 S. 6th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042 or your local Humane Society.
