  Twigg, Jay E.   
   
  Jay E. Twigg, 85, of Lancaster passed away on January 14, 2009, at Hospice of 
  Lancaster County in Mount Joy. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late 
  Alfred E. and Florence Beamesderfer Twigg. Jay was married for 62 years to 
  Joyce Ayers Twigg. Jay served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and 
  was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Lancaster, American Legion Post 
  No. 34, Lancaster, and a life member of VFW Post 7294 of Gap, and the Elks Post 
  213 of York. He was a beer distributor, retiring in 1996 from Twigg 
  Distributors of Lancaster. He is survived by his wife; daughter Kay F. Ankeny 
  of Lancaster; son Dennis J., husband of Carolyn Twigg of Lancaster; 
  grandchildren Christopher Ankeny of State College, Ryan M., husband of Christie 
  Twigg of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a future greatgranddaughter, Molli. He was 
  preceded in death by a brother, James R. Twigg. Relatives and friends are 
  invited to attend his graveside services on Monday, January 19, 2009, at 2:30 
  p.m. at Grand View Memorial Park, 500 N. Weaber St., Annville, Pa.
