  Mary M. Vannicola, 93, of Lebanon died Wednesday, January 7, 2009. She was the 
  wife of the late Philip Vannicola. Born January 22, 1915, in Lebanon, she was 
  the daughter of the late Patrick and Annie Rohrbach Scanlin. She enjoyed 
  playing in her card clubs. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, and was a 
  member of the choir. Surviving are four children, Mary Ann Vannicola of 
  Coatesville, Pa., Sister Mary Magdalen OCD (Frances) of the Carmelite Order in 
  Flemington, N.J., Anthony V. Vannicola of Lebanon, and Theresa M., wife of 
  Robert Ruppenthal of Cleona; one grandson, Jason Vannicola; one greatgrandson, 
  Vincent Vannicola; one sister-inlaw, Mary L. Vannicola of Kansas; several 
  nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded 
  in death by brothers Edward, James, Leo, William, Samuel, and Joseph; and 
  sisters Elizabeth, Helen, Anna, Julia, Regina, and Josephine. Funeral Mass 
  Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, 2 N. Eighth St., Lebanon, PA 17046. 
  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Sunday evening 68, and Monday 
  morning 10-10:30 at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon. 
  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church. .
