(Antoinette) Antonia P. (Antoinette) Vieli, 83, of Hershey died Monday, February 23, 2009, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1925, in Acquasanta, Italy; and was a former employee of the H.B. Reese Candy Co.; a volunteer at Spring Creek Nursing Home, (the former county home). Antoinette was a faithful member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Hershey. She was a member of the Rosary Prayer Group, and was an active volunteer, and would help with everyday cleaning and cooking for their bizarre and festivals. She was a great cook, and enjoyed gardening. Most of all, she loved her family, friends and neighbors. Surviving are a daughter, Michelina M. Gahagan and her husband, Tom of Lebanon; a son, Dominic L. Vieli and his wife, Norma of Annville; two sisters, Domenica Cardi and Loreta Pulzoni of Italy; seven grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond G. Vieli. A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday, February 26th, with recitation of the rosary beginning at 5:30. A viewing will also be held from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 27th, in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 27, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to either St. Joan of Arc Church Memorial Fund, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033; or the American Cancer Society, P O Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Route 422 and Lucy Avenue in Hershey, are handling the arrangements.
