Walk, Jr. BOISE, ID Christian B Walk, Jr., 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, in Boise, where he resided this year. He was the husband of 43 years to the late Julia Wingo Walk, and 14 years to the late Judy Zellers Walk of Palmyra. Born April 21, 1918, in Washington Boro, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian B. Walk, Sr. of Washington Boro. He had an extensive career in the field of aviation. Mr. Walk was the former Regional Director of the Northwest Region of the Federal Aviation Administration, with headquarters in Seattle, Wash. He was a retired Lt. Colonel of the United States Air Force and a former Captain for Delta Airlines. He was an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, a member of the Air Force Association, The Retired Officer's Association, American Legion of Annville, and First United Methodist Church of Palmyra. Colonel Walk graduated from Columbia High School in 1936 and Lebanon Valley College in 1940 and was elected to the school's Athletic Hall of Fame and was also inducted into the Susquehanna Chapter of Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He is survived by his loving children, daughter, Susan (Scott) of Seattle, Wash.; and sons, Chris (Shelly) of Forth Worth, Texas, Keith (Connie) of California, Mo., Jerry (Jan) of Bainbridge, Wash., and Gary (Amy) of Boise, Idaho; as well as nine grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held in Portland, Ore., at a later date. He will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery. Remembrances are suggested to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Wash.
