  Wasserman, Richard J.   
   
  Richard J. Wasserman, aka "Dipper Dan" of 1811 Carlton Drive, Lebanon, died 
  Saturday, February 21, 2009, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the 
  husband of Phoebe M. Cooper Wasserman, with whom he would have celebrated their 
  53rd wedding anniversary this May. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on January 29, 1931, 
  he was the son of the late Bernard and Esther Magid Wasserman. He was the self-
  employed owner of the Dipper Dan Ice Cream Shop at the Lebanon Valley Mall for 
  20 years, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving in addition to 
  his wife are a son, Steven C. Wasserman of Lebanon; two daughters, Nancy L. 
  wife of Marlin Kreider of Palmyra, and Gail R. Weigle of Lancaster; a 
  granddaughter, Samantha L. Weigle; and a sister, Marion, wife of Sanford 
  Goldstein of Boca Raton, Fla. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to 
  the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011. 
  Private family services will be held at a later date. Kreamer Funeral Home and 
  Crematory, Annville, was in charge of arrangements.
