M. shabodeho@aol.com August 16, 2009, 10:00 am Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 8/4/2009 Waters Jr., Fred Fred Waters, Jr. LEBANON Fred Waters, Jr., 77, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Miriam K. Stover Waters, his wife of 47 years. He was born October 2, 1931, in Washington County, Ga., a son of the late Fred Waters, Sr. and Dora Dothan Davis Waters. He was a retired employee of the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, Md., with 35 years of service and was former owner and proprietor of the Forrest Hill Hotel in Upper Marlboro Township, Md., for over 20 years. Fred served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He loved playing the organ and was a volunteer for FISH. Surviving in addition to his wife are son, Ray B. Mayopoulos, Jr. and wife, Vivian of Lebanon; granddaughter, Lisa, wife of James Lineaweaver, III, of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Sean, Amber and Kate Lineaweaver; sister, Betty, wife of Raymond Duncan of Silver Spring, Md., and their children, Raymond Joseph Duncan and Mollie, wife of Steve Brannon. He was preceded in death by brother, William Davis Waters and survived by children, Cecil Davis and wife, Kate Waters, Sandra Waters, wife of Lawrence Klein; several great-nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Donald husband of Sara Kent. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be made in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
