He was the husband of the late Helen Maxine McCrosky Winters. Born in Steelstown on January 6, 1924, he was the son of the late Norman Kleinfelter and Mabel V. Beck Winters. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. Jacob was employed by the VA Medical Center in Perry Point, Md., as an electrician. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Citra, Fla., American Legion Post 155, and the 4th Armored Division Association Inc. He is survived by three sons, Jay L. Winters of Port Deposit, Md., Jerry L. Winters of Perryville, Md., and James L., husband of Bonnie of Mandan, N.D.; one daughter, Janice, wife of Ken Wassmer of Conowingo, Md.; one brother, Norman Winters; one sister, Margaret Flowers; five grandchildren, Debra and Dawn Wassmer, Matthew, Jared and Alexandra Winters; and former wife Almeda A. Long Winters of Port Deposit, Md. Jacob was preceded in death by a son, Jacob Lee Winters; a daughter, June Ann Winters; and a brother, Dale Winters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009, at 12:30 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Burial will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township. Viewing will be held two hours prior to the service, from 10:30 a.m.12:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
